Peter J. Hanlon

Pete Hanlon is a labor arbitrator from Tiffin, Ohio. He has been in the labor arbitration space for approximately 25 years as a union member, delegate, executive board member, and member vice-president (MORE about Pete). He is currently available as a Labor Arbitrator/Mediator/Factfinder to settle disputes between parties regarding their collective bargaining agreement.

As a labor arbitrator, Pete is committed to providing fair and impartial decision-making based on a thorough examination of the facts, relevant contractual provisions, and established labor law. By upholding the integrity of the arbitration process, Arbitrator Hanlon ensures a balanced approach to resolving disputes between employers and employees.

Prior to becoming an arbitrator, Pete was Director of the Member Resource Center for SEIU/1199 WV/KY/OH where he and his team administered the grievance process for a 25,000 member union culminating in binding arbitration. In that role, he was lead advocate on hundreds of arbitrations and mediations. He also represented the union in NLRB and SERB cases. He recently was appointed to the USPS/APWU arbitration panel for the central area (Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia)

Pete is currently rostered on FMCS, FINRA, and various rostering agencies across the country (scroll down for full list). He is proficient at conducting in-person, virtual, and hybrid hearings and is available on a one-time basis or as part of a permanent panel.
